This piece was born in motion, the movement between black sand and ocean becoming a mirror of my own emotions. What began as control slowly turned into surrender. Each brushstroke felt like confronting fear, then choosing bravery, grounding through determination, and finding perseverance in the unknown.

Painting the black sand became my way of holding what felt heavy, the parts of myself that resist softness. Layer by layer, I learned to stop forcing outcomes and let the colours blend as they needed to. The water taught me trust, the tide, patience.

The Art of Letting Go is about release, about softening where I once gripped tightly, calming my mind when anger rose, and letting the process lead instead of my expectations. It’s where fear met stillness, and where I finally stopped trying to control the waves.
