Two years in the making and Toi Ora Live Art Trust’s latest book is finally here!

In 2009, under the tutelage of Nancy Eisenberg, Toi Ora's creative writing class was awarded a RETHiNK Grant to produce a book of poetry that would ultimately work to promote positive perceptions of people who have experienced mental unwellness. This book is a small representation of their work. The class felt that the best way to de-stigmatise mental disorder was to show that we are whole people, living our lives… we live and feel and think and notice. We are mosaics responding to life and its mythologies.It is here that we hope people will relate to us and in that space come to appreciate the fundamental humanity that joins us all. Above and beyond that, we hope for this book to be enjoyed as poetry and prose in and of itself.
